1 year of Blogging !!!Posted: November 28, 2010
I was celebrating, a few months ago, one year of tweeting. Now it is time to celebrate a full year of blogging !
My very first post was quite close to what I am still writing every weekend to summarize the EU news of the past 7 days. I had very good material at hat time, since it was just after the nomination of H. van Rompuy and C Ashton to their respective posts. Still, the post didn’t get much more than one or two views – probably from me anyway.
What a change since than: EUWeekly now receive up to 66 visits a day for a total of close to 3,000 visits in a year. In the process of making this blog grow, I move to bilingual postings, added some personal posts to the weekly news review, follow the daily change in the euro exchange rate, enlisted on BloggingPortal.eu, attended an ‘euro-apéro‘, …
As I mentioned a couple of times before the EU-web-community is anything but unwelcoming and it is at the same time easy and enjoyable to be included in the community. This anniversary is in particular the opportunity to warmly thank everybody who welcomed, supported, helped me ; and above all the readers.
What about the future of the blog ? It’s going to be around for more time, don’t worry. I might stop the weekly updates at some point in a (distant) future, those take a terrible lot of time. But for the moment, don’t be afraid, nothing is changing on this blog.
